Chelsea 5-2 Leicester City
Roberto Di Matteo : "'The whole team, the supporters and everybody at the club are really happy for [Fernando Torres] because he's a great team player. You get rewarded in this life when you work hard and we're delighted that he helped us win this game. Hopefully his confidence will be very high now, but I didn't mind when he wasn't scoring because as long as we win as a team that's all that matters to me. We're just happy we've managed to overcome every hurdle so far, but you don't have time to enjoy the wins because we're playing on Wednesday and then Saturday again, but we're happy we're in the semi-final and now we're focusing on Manchester City."
Nigel Pearson : "Some of our attacking play was very good, but some of our defending was awful. We talked about making them work hard to get on top, but we had to quickly change our shape because we didn't handle the ball well enough. We conceded from a free header and were caught on the counter-attack. You can't make life difficult for yourselves against a side like Chelsea. We created a number of opportunities throughout, but the problem is that we were unable to deal with their attacking threat. It's very disappointing to go out in the fashion we have. You have to make sides like Chelsea work hard to get on top and we didn't do that, so it was a frustrating afternoon."
Liverpool 2-1 Stoke City
Kenny Dalglish : "It was a fantastic performance from us in many ways. It wasn't the best we've ever passed the ball but the way we competed and the way we put bodies on the line was a great example. It showed people what it meant to them to try and get through this. It was difficult. Stoke started really competitively and at a high tempo. We had to match them, and although Pepe has not been too busy, they're always a threat with throw-ins and set plays. There were two really good goals."
Tony Pulis : "In the first half we started a bit sloppy and then got into the game but we are disappointed Suarez comes up with a bit of magic to give them the lead. Luckily we got our goal and I thought we were unlucky to not come in (at half-time) winning the game. In the second half we gave them a leg up with the goal, which was a poor one to concede, but when you are playing against one of the top four or five teams in the country they punish you and that is what they did. But you can't fault their effort and honesty. Good luck to Liverpool, I hope they do well in the next round."
