Manan Sharma the Delhi and India under-19 Allrounder has announced his retirement from all forms of the game. Notably, Manan has decided to part ways with cricket at the age of 30. It was revealed that Manan will now move to California which is a state in the Western United States.

Meanwhile, Manan Sharma has shared the dressing room with guys like Shikhar Dhawan, Gautam Gambhir, Ishant Sharma & Rishabh Pant when he played for the Delhi team. Also, he was one of the members of India’s Under 19 squad which played the 2010 Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand.

Notably, Manan Sharma is the son of former Indian batsman Ajay Sharma who was handed a life ban in 2000 for a match-fixing scandal. Ajay Sharma represented India in 31 One Day International games and a single Test match. In ODI he picked 15 wickets and scored 424 runs. Meanwhile, in the Test, he picked no wicket and scored 53 runs.

Manan Sharma was a part of KKR in IPL 2016

Coming back to the son of Ajay Sharma, Manan Sharam, he played a lot of domestic cricket for India. He represented Delhi in over 100 games including First Class, List A, and T20 games. Manan played 35 first-class matches and scored 1208 runs and bagged 113 wickets. He played 59 List A games and scored 560 runs picking 78 wickets.

Meanwhile, in T20 he scored 131 runs and got 32 wickets under his belt with his Slow left-arm orthodox bowling technique. Also, Manan was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise at the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in February 2016 at the price of 10 Lakh.

Fans on Twitter drew his comparison with Unmukt Chand who recently announced his retirement from playing cricket in India on 13th August 2021. Notably, he was the captain of the team which won the 2012 Under-19 World Cup. Just like Manan Sharam, Chand also decided to shift to the USA, it was also revealed that he will play league cricket in the USA.
