Man City XI vs PSG: No Foden - Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for Champions League today

Both Jack Grealish and Phil Foden miss out on the Manchester City team for tonight’s heavyweight Champions League meeting with Paris Saint-Germain.

Grealish missed Sunday’s 3-0 win over Everton after he withdrew from the England squad with injury over the international break.

But City boss Pep Guardiola says Grealish “is much better” and the £100million summer signing will be assessed today before Guardiola makes a late call on whether he is ready to return against PSG.

“He is much better,” said Guardiola. “We will see how he is.”

However, he does not make the squad, and nor does his fellow England international Foden. Bernardo Silva looks set to start as a false nine.

City are still without Kevin De Bruyne because he is isolating after testing positive for Covid while on international duty with Belgium last week.

Back-to-back victories over Club Brugge have put City in pole position to qualify for the knockout stage of the Champions League and they could seal top spot in Group A on Wednesday.

Man City XI: Ederson, Walker, Dias, Stones, Cancelo, Rodri, Gundogan, Zinchenko, Mahrez, Silva, Sterling.

Subs: Steffen, Carson, Ake, Laporte, Fernandinho, McAtee, Jesus, Palmer.

Wednesday, November 24 8pm GMT

Venue: Etihad Stadium

Referee: Daniele Orsato (ITA)
