Manchester United will be targeting a third successive win when they travel to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

United, who have not tasted victory at the Emirates since January 2019, secured their first league win of the Ruben Amorim era on Sunday, beating Everton 4-0 at Old Trafford, courtesy of a brace apiece from Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee.

Arsenal, however, are likely to pose the sternest test Amorim has faced since succeeding Erik ten Hag last month. The Gunners are currently second in the table and have scored 10 goals in their last two games.

United failed to win a single away game against a member of the Premier League's traditional 'big six' under Ten Hag, meaning Amorim has the opportunity to make an early statement of intent. The Portuguese chief's only previous experience of managing United away from home so far ended in a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town.

Amorim has rotated his pack from game-to-game so far, making six changes to each of his last two starting XIs from the previous fixture, meaning he could continue that trend in the capital.

However, goalkeeper Andre Onana is expected to retain his place in goal. He racked up his sixth Premier League clean sheet of the season against Everton, meaning he has more than any goalkeeper in the division so far this term.

Amorim will be forced into making at least one change to the back-three after Lisandro Martinez earned his fifth yellow card of the season against the Toffees. Luke Shaw is the logical replacement in the left-sided centre-back role, meaning he could make his first start for United since February.

Leny Yoro is in contention to be included in the matchday squad for the first time since arriving from Lille in the summer but he is unlikely to be thrown straight in after so long on the sidelines. Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt are likely to keep their places.

Amad was the star of the show against Everton on Sunday, playing a key hand in three of United's four goals, and deserves to retain his place at right wing-back. Diogo Dalot is likely to occupy the left wing-back berth again.

Like Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo is also suspended for the trip to the Emirates, meaning at least one change will have to be made in the centre of midfield. Manuel Ugarte could replace the England international and join forces with Casemiro.

In attack, despite scoring twice at the weekend, Zirkzee could make way for Rasmus Hojlund in the No.9 position. The latter will be fresh after playing no part in the win over Everton.

Rashford, who has scored in each of his last three games against Arsenal, is likely to keep his place to offer United speed on the counter-attack. Bruno Fernandes, who got two assists against Everton, is also available to start after Amorim played down fears of an injury in his pre-match press conference.
