Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still without Paul Pogba this evening as Manchester United return to Champions League action against Istanbul Basaksehir.

The midfielder was conspicuous by his absence from the squad for Saturday's 1-0 win against West Brom, and is against absent.

Edinson Cavani makes his full United debut leading the attack, with Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford on the flanks and Bruno Fernandes in the middle.

Donny van de Beek starts in midfield with Fred, while Alex Telles, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Aaron Wan-Bissaka make up the defence as David de Gea plays in goal.

Dean Henderson made his European debut against Basaksehir in gameweek three and has since gone on to make his senior England bow - but he is on the bench tonight.

The 23-year-old is the clear back-up to De Gea, potentially putting his progress and European Championship hopes in jeopardy.

"I've been very happy with the competition that Dean has provided for David and the response from David," Solskjaer said.

"Dean's not really put a foot wrong and he's developing and he's maturing along the way, which I'm very, very happy with."

"Dean wants to stay at Man United and play for Man United," he said.

"I can't see the logic in (suggestions there is) only one potential appearance left before Christmas. Do you know how many games we've got?

“I disagree completely if (you are suggesting) tomorrow is a make-or-break (moment) for Dean.”

Summer signing Facundo Pellistri also makes the bench for United after impressive form for the Under-23s.

Man United lineup: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Telles; van de Beek, Fred; Rashford, Fernandes, Martial; Cavani

Subs: Grant, Henderson, Williams, Tuanzebe, Mengi, Fosu-Mensah, Matic, Mata, James, Pellistri, Greenwood, Ighalo
