Manchester United XI vs Wolves: Amad and Elanga start; Mejbri on the bench - lineup and team news

Manchester United will today look to close out their Premier League season with a win at Wolves - but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named an experimental lineup at Molineux with one eye on next week's Europa League Final against Villarreal.

Given the Europa showpiece comes just three days after United's trip to the Midlands, Solskjaer has rotated with second place in the League table already assured.

While Dean Henderson appeared to be dropped against Fulham following a shaky display versus Liverpool, the more likely scenario is that Solskjaer was trialling his probable XI against Villarreal last time out at Old Trafford.

David de Gea started against Fulham, and given he is the cup goalkeeper as it stands, he will surely face Villarreal - and that means Henderson returns at Molineux.

As for the rest of the team, it is almost all change - though Harry Maguire is out with ankle ligament damage, and it looks unlikely he will be back against Villarreal if he is not a substitute on Sunday at the very least.

Fred and Scott McTominay were both doubts after picking up knocks in the last game. Fred is out while McTominay makes the bench, and that means Donny van de Beek gets a rare start.

Solskjaer has two main selection issues for the final: if Maguire misses out, either Axel Tuanzebe or Eric Bailly will start alongside Victor Lindelof in central defence against Villarreal.

Given both are injury-prone, Solskjaer is playing both at Molineux and could hand a Final spot to whoever fares better - or whoever lasts the full game.

Amad Diallo and Anthony Elanga start in attack along with Dan James and Juan Mata, while rising star Hannibal Mejbri is on the bench along with Shola Shoretire and William Fish.

Man Utd: Henderson, Williams, Bailly, Tuanzebe, Alex Telles, Matic, van de Beek, Diallo, Mata, James, Elanga

Subs: Lindelof, Rashford, Greenwood, Grant, Wan Bissaka, McTominay, Fish, Shoretire, Mejbri

Injury list: Maguire, Jones
