Marcus Rashford has confirmed that he wants Jadon Sancho to join Manchester United to complete a devastating front three along with Anthony Martial.

Borussia Dortmund star Sancho is in high demand after another standout season in Germany, where he has scored 14 goals and assisted 16 in 23 Bundesliga matches to date.

Sancho – who plays alongside Rashford at international level for England – has an extensive list of suitors, although United have emerged as frontrunners for the winger.

During an Instagram Live Q&A session with Bleacher Report, Rashford was asked how a link-up of himself, Sancho and Martial would be.

He replied: "It would be good, Sancho's a great player, he's sort of like the new-generation player.

“It's definitely exciting to watch him becoming the player that he's becoming, so credit to him.

"Hopefully we can all play together and that can be good."

The 20-year-old would cost between £100-120million, which United Legend Rio Ferdinand has recently described as a worthwhile risk for the club.

He said: "You are buying someone for 10 years at your club, it's massive money but I'd take him and risk it.”

Ferdinand – who believes United should also make a move for Harry Kane – was equally as excited by a Sancho/Rashford partnership.

He added: “Rashford, Martial, Kane, Sancho, that would intimate a lot of centre-halves before a whistle is blown. Definitely."
