Mariah Carey and Josh Gad lead Kelly Preston tributes after actress dies aged 57
Mariah Carey and Josh Gad are among the famous faces who have shared their sadness and condolences following the death of Kelly Preston, aged 57.
John Travolta announced this morning that his wife has died after a two-year fight with breast cancer, sharing the heartbreaking news on Instagram.
Within minutes, tributes began pouring in on social media with Carey, 50, writing on Instagram: “Sending so much love to you and your family in this heartbreaking moment.”
Ocean’s Eight star Sarah Paulson posted a series of broken heart emojis, adding: “Love you so.”

Meghan Trainor also commented with emojis, opting for three hearts and praying hands.
Numerous stars also shared tributes on Twitter, with Frozen star Gad writing: “I’m in absolute shock. What a beautiful and amazing actress and person.
“So sad to hear of her passing at such a young age. My heart goes out to John Travolta and the entire family. What a loss.”
Journalist Maria Shriver and actress Chloe Bennet also shared their sadness:

Preston and Travolta had been married for nearly 30 years and have a daughter, Ella, and son, Benjamin.
Their son, Jett, died at the age of just 16 after suffering a seizure during a family holiday in the Bahamas in 2009.
Preston’s first major film role was in 1985’s teen comedy Mischief. She later went on to star alongside her actor husband in Battlefield Earth and 2018’s Gotti.
