Mata’utia brothers banned following Round 14 of Super League
Brothers Sione and Peter Mata’utia have received bans by the RFL’s match review panel following Round 14 of Super League.
Sione will serve a two-match ban after being receiving a Grade B dangerous contact charge in their 28-14 win at Toulouse on Saturday. He will miss Saints’ upcoming games against Hull KR and Leeds.
Meanwhile, Peter will miss Sunday’s trip to Wakefield after being given a one-match ban for a Grade B dangerous contact in their 40-4 defeat to Leeds on Friday night.
Elsewhere, Hull prop Scott Taylor will miss Saturday’s game against Catalans Dragons in France. He was charged with a Grade B dangerous contact in their 19-18 loss at Wakefield on Sunday.
Hull KR hooker Matt Parcell and Salford forward Harvey Livett received Grade A charges but neither face suspension. They will be available to face St Helens and Wigan this weekend respectively.
There were cautions for Mahe Fonua (Castleford) and Tyrone May (Catalans) over other contrary behaviour.
In the reserves, Leeds forward Muizz Mustapha has had his Grade E dangerous throw charge referred to tribunal.
Warrington youngster Jacob Gannon will also face a tribunal over a Grade D dangerous contact charge whilst playing for the reserves.
