Lille have problems in defence as David Rozehnal and Marko Basa were both missing for a draw against Troyes at the weekend. Right-back Mathieu Debuchy is back in contention following an injury though and captain Rio Mavuba is fresh again following the international break and will return to the side. Marvin Martin suffered a knock at the weekend but has recovered.

BATE team news to follow...

Rudi Garcia: "We've conceded at least one goal per game since the league started. But in terms of commitment and team spirit I have nothing to reproach the players for. We just need to try and push forward more, we need to be more consistent.''

Viktor Goncharenko: "Lille are a very good team and we have to be aware of that. They have not had a great start to the Ligue 1 season but they will raise their game for the Champions League. I hope the players will play with free spirit and without pressure. We are very organised and if we play our best football we can match anybody in the group."
