Norwich hope to have forward Robert Snodgrass available for the clash against Arsenal after he returned from international duty with Scotland because of an ankle problem. Defender Steven Whittaker has returned to full training after his pre-season ankle problem, but is not yet being considered for a first-team return. On-loan Tottenham striker Harry Kane is sidelined by a broken metatarsal.

Arsenal will be without defender Laurent Koscielny (back). England defender Kieran Gibbs (thigh) and forward Theo Walcott (chest) also miss out, but midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong could be in the squad following a long-term knee problem. First-choice goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny (ankle) remains sidelined, as do midfielders Abou Diaby (thigh) and Jack Wilshere (ankle), Czech winger Tomas Rosicky (hamstring) and defender Bacary Sagna (broken leg), while goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski is out after damaging ankle ligaments in training this week.

Chris Hughton: "The circumstances this week have given UEFA a real good opportunity to stamp their authority on this situation. It is not the first time (racism) has happened (in Serbia) . We have done a lot of good work and have reaped the benefits from it, but unfortunately the way we see it here is a lot different to how they see it abroad."

Arsene Wenger: "In October the moment of truth starts for the team. The league establishes itself a little bit and the Champions League goes to decisive moments. Therefore of course, it's important to be decisive and convincing. The target is always the same [after an international break]. When they come back, we want to quickly focus on our own targets again and get the team back mentally on our next game. I believe that we'll work and the team, after our last performance at West Ham (a 3-1 win), will want to continue the good run and focus well."
