Mathare United head coach banned for one month

The fresh legs have replaced Andrew Juma and Victor Ashinga even as the trio of Daniel Mwaura, Samuel Olwande and Wycliffe Kasaya remains sidelined

Kenyan Premier League’s Independent Disciplinary and Complaints Committee (IDCC) has handed Mathare United coach Francis Kimanzi a one-month touchline ban.

He has been found guilty of refusing to leave the technical area as ordered by the referee and holding up play for 17 minutes during Mathare United’s league game against Sofapaka at Nyayo Stadium on November 5, according to a statement published on the league's official web-portal.

He has also been ordered to pay Sh50, 000 fine in addition to the one-month ban having violated Rules 7.1(i) and (ix) of the Rules of Kenyan Football.
