Steve McClaren is set for a return to football as the new manager of Queens Park Rangers.

The former England boss, 57, will take over from Ian Holloway at the Championship club, the Daily Mail are reporting.

McClaren was sacked as Derby County manager last year after a poor return to Pride Park. He has also been let go by Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and FC Twente in recent years.

Holloway guided Rangers to a 16th-placed finish in the table but the club now want a new face in the dug-out.
