MEATLIQUOR OFFER PIE-EATING GOALKEEPER JOB AS ‘CHIEF PIE-EATER’

Following the news that now ex-Sutton goalkeeper Wayne Shaw has resigned from the club for his pie-eating antics, MEATliquor is offering him a job as Chief Pie Eater.

Announcing the offer via the @MEATliquor twitter account, the burger brand has created the bespoke role following his performance off the pitch during Sutton’s Monday night’s televised FA Cup defeat by Arsenal.

The job, which is to be defined in partnership with Bridge, involves daily duties of eating the full array of new menu items. Ranging from pies to variations on the classic cheese and chicken burger, to wings, fries and desserts before officially being listed on MEATliquor menus nationwide.

Scott Collins, co-founder of MEATliquor, said: “The highlight of this year’s FA cup has not been on the pitch, it’s been in the heart of the Sutton dug-out. So, impressed by Mr Shaw’s appetite for pasties and pies, combined with the fact he is now out of a job. His level of knowledge as to what makes good tasty food is something that just couldn’t see go to waste and would like to offer him a job as our newly created Chief Pie Eater. We are awaiting an official response, but on behalf of everyone at MEATliquor – we really hope he accepts.”
