Melania Trump looked pretty in pink wearing a lace high-necked gown on Wednesday night at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. Despite being in New York hours earlier, the first lady showed up for the fundraiser, where her husband, President Trump, raised $10 million for his 2020 reelection campaign.
For the party, which brought out bigwig lobbyists and financiers, the first lady displayed her often-praised sense of fashion by putting her ongoing devotion to the color pink on display. From blush to fuchsia, the 47-year-old first lady has turned to the shade on many occasions.
Just on Saturday, FLOTUS wore a J. Mendel gown to Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin’s wedding, where she almost outdid the bride.
That light pink piece featured similar effects as the Hervé Pierre dress that Melania wore to the Easter Egg Roll in April. However, she switched the Manolo Blahnik stiletto heels for matching flats for a more casual look.
Melania doesn’t shy away from a stronger shade of the color. She sported a fuchsia gown in May during her visit to the Murabba Palace in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
While abroad, the former model cut an elegant figure in a floor-length dress that incorporated a cape-style silhouette with structured shoulders and draped sleeves. Sparkling crystal detail around the high-necked collar pulled the look together.
In February she attended the Red Cross Gala at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Fla. For the occasion, she opted for a hot pink curve-hugging gown with a V neckline. It was simple, but she accessorized with emerald and diamond earrings to make a statement.
And who could possibly forget the ensemble she wore to a town hall debate in early October, featuring a $1,100 hot pink pussy-bow blouse from Gucci with matching pants?
It’s pretty clear what Melania’s favorite color is — can you see why?
