Veteran coach, Tunde Lawson believes MFM have a good chance of winning the 2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football League title.
The Olukoya Boys are second in the table with 33 points, but have played two matches more than leaders Plateau United who have 34 points.
The Lagos side enjoyed a decent run in the first half of the season, winning ten of their 19 games.
And Lawson, who led Lagos to the 2012 National Sports Festival, says the Fidelis Ilechukwu-led team are well placed to lift the lesgue's top prize.
"It's still too early to say who will be the favourites, but I have been impressed by MFM so far," Lawson told Goal.
"They have been playing some very good football and deserve to be at where they are. They have goals in their team and this is what all successful sides need.
"Of course they can be champions this season, they have a good chance, but they are not the only contenders.
"This has the potential to be the most fascinating Nigeria Professional Football League title race in history, with several clubs in with a wonderful chance of glory," he concluded.
