The Michigan women's basketball team had a harrowing trip home from the NCAA tournament.
The Wolverines lost an overtime thriller to Baylor in the Sweet 16 Saturday. On their flight home from San Antonio, they had to make an emergency landing after the cabin of their plane lost pressure.
Assistant coach Toyelle Wilson documented the experience on Twitter after the plane made the unexpected stop in Evansville, Illinois. She wrote that the cabin lost pressure and oxygen masks dropped when the plane flew into a storm.
No need to worry. Everyone was OK when the plane touched down.
The Michigan Daily reports that there were a few bloody noses, but that nobody suffered injuries otherwise. They eventually made it home in the wee hours of the morning with Wilson reporting a much smoother final leg home.
It's not clear if they found a new plane or flew home in the same plane that lost pressure. Here's hoping for the sake of everyone's nerves that they found a new ride.
