Middleweight prospect George Liddard 'living the dream' as a pro boxer ahead of second outing
Last November, Liddard kicked off his professional career with an impressive TKO victory over Nikola Matic.
The four-time National Champion went on to sign a multi-fight deal with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing.
The 20-year-old will now compete on the undercard of Jack Cullen's WBO international super-middleweight title bout with the unbeaten Diego Pacheco.
"Preparation has been great, injury-free," Liddard told Planet Sport. "It's been one of my best camps. I'm feeling great, feeling ready."
The Essex native admitted he is enjoying life as a professional fighter following his recent transition from amateur.
He said: "At first it was a massive step up with regards to training. It was a massive step up and I found it very difficult for the first few months. But now, I couldn't have it any other way. I enjoy the hard work. Every day I feel like I'm living the dream, getting to train full-time."
Liddard's opponent this weekend is Polish journeyman Daniel Przewieslik with a 3-12-2 record. The Brit is expected to pick up his second victory as he looks to continue on his professional journey.
When asked whether there is pressure to remain unbeaten in the early years of his pro career, he said: "I think at this level you have to be beating who you're put in front of. "Don't get me wrong, people have learning curves early on and go on to do great things. But how I see it, is that I want to keep that '0'. I'd like to keep impressing with my performances and keep earning the wins." Liddard also admitted his focus is on himself rather than his upcoming opponent. He added: "I think making sure that I'm 100% prepared and done everything I can to make sure I'm the best fighter on the night. Whoever steps out in front of me, whatever style it is, I can deal with."
The fight, which will take place at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, will be streamed live on DAZN from around 4pm.
