Mikel Arteta admits Gabriel Jesus disaster as Arsenal transfer necessity reaches new level
Gabriel Jesus has suffered what the Arsenal manager described as a 'very worrying' injury. While there were some positive updates on other stars who came off or were not available against Manchester United.
Mikel Arteta faced the media in the build-up to a monumental North London Derby where Arsenal cannot afford to drop more points and need to recover their form. The defeats to Newcastle and Manchester United have seen the mood drop considerably with the pressure rising to new heights from the fan base.
Granted players like Bukayo Saka and Ben White being unavailable has not helped and naturally this had led to further expectation on January transfer deals. This was worsened by the scenes of Gabriel Jesus being stretchered off against Man Utd on Sunday afternoon.

Speaking ahead of the game, Mikel Arteta confirmed that the Brazilian striker is not looking positive in terms of a prognosis. "Yeah we know more now, and it's not looking good at all. We need to review on more specialists."
He added: "Yeah I don't want to confirm anything until we have the report."
However, there was positive news on Jorginho who was confirmed to have just suffered from fatigue. He said: "He was cramping. He's fine."
Another missing player was Riccardo Calafiori. While Arteta could not confirm whether he could be available to play, there was some optimism in what the manager was suggesting.
"Yeah he's thing is not too much," he said. "We need another day or two. 24 hours become really important. We will have more understanding this afternoon."
