Martin Odegaard trained with the Arsenal squad ahead of their Champions League clash with Inter on Wednesday.

The Gunners travel to Italy having already played three Champions League games, winning two and drawing one. The Serie A side have exactly the same record in the competition this season and it will be a tough test for Mikel Arteta's side at the San Siro.

Ahead of the fixture, the Gunners squad trained in north London on Tuesday morning. Among those on the grass at Sobha Realty Training Centre was Odegaard, who has not played for Arsenal since the 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion at the end of August.

The 25-year-old suffered a foot injury while on international duty with Norway in September and has not played a competitive match since. The Gunners captain has been making good progress with his recovery in recent weeks, however, and there is hope he could make a return on Wednesday against Inter.

Odegaard has been, however, left out of Norway's Nations League squad for matches against Slovenia and Kazakhstan later this month. It remains to be seen if Odegaard will be risked by Arsenal against Inter. The Gunners are also due to face Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday.

Elsewhere, Riccardo Calafiori, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney did not train with the squad on Tuesday as they continue to recover from their respective injuries. Arteta has previously admitted that the trio are likely to return after the November international break.

The Arsenal squad are due to fly to Italy on Tuesday afternoon, with Arteta and Bukayo Saka set to face the media from around 6pm UK time.
