Move over Ocean's 8. Mindy Kaling and Anne Hathaway have another heist flick in the works. Kaling and Hathaway will reunite for an upcoming "heist thriller/romantic comedy" from Steven Knight (A Christmas Carol, Serenity) called Lockdown, and yes, it has to do with the actual lockdown.

Per Deadline, the film takes place during the COVID-19 lockdown and follows a "sparring couple" played by Hathaway and Chewitel Eijofor, as they call a truce in order to plan and execute a high-stakes jewelry heist at Harrods, the London-based ultra-exclusive department store.

It was really only a matter of time before a COVID-centric movie got the green light, right?

Though it has yet to be revealed which character Kaling will play, this will be the second time she and Hathaway both starred in a jewelry heist-related movie. The actresses both starred in 2018's Ocean's 8, which was set against the high-profile Met Gala.

Lockdown had already locked down an impressive cast before Kaling signed on. She, Hathaway, and Eijofor will star alongside Sir Ben Kingsley and Lucy Boynton, who also just signed onto the film as of the 12th, as well as Ben Stiller, Stephen Merchant (The Office U.K., An Idiot Abroad), Dulé Hill (Psych, Suits), Jazmyn Simon (Ballers, Raising Dion), and Mark Gatiss (Doctor Who, Sherlock, Game of Thrones).

According to IMDB, Lockdown is currently in the early filming process, though it's possible that the flick is still in pre-production with the pandemic still at play. However, once things get rolling, Lockdown will be the newest project for Kaling since The Morning Show (and giving birth to her son, Spencer), and for Hathaway since The Last Thing He Wanted, which co-starred Ben Affleck and Rosie Perez.

A COVID-era lockdown movie with two of our favorite heist veterans? We're ready for it.
