Paul Pogba’s agent has suggested that the midfielder could return to Juventus from Manchester United on a free transfer next summer.

Mino Raiola confirmed that, while negotiations are taking place over a new contract for the Frenchman, he could not rule out his client leaving Old Trafford.

Pogba’s contract comes to an end at the conclusion of the 2021-22 season.

“Paul Pogba is out of contract in June, so we’ll talk with Manchester United and we’ll see what happens,” Raiola told Rai Sport.

“Juventus? Paul still loves Turin. There’s a chance that Pogba will return to Juventus, yes - but it also depends on Juventus’ plans.”

Were Pogba to join the Italian side it would be the second time he has made the Manchester to Turin move on a free in his career.

After a promising career in Manchester United’s academy, Pogba developed into one of the world’s most coveted players after arriving at Juventus in 2012.

He returned to United in 2016 for what was then a world record free of £89.3 million.

Pogba has enjoyed an eye-catching start to the Premier League season, creating seven goals in four league fixtures so far for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
