Mitch Garbutt will leave Toulouse Olympique at the end of the current season.

The club confirmed the news in a statement released earlier today.

Garbutt, 33, joined the club from Hull KR ahead of the 2021 season and was a part of their Million Pound Game winning side over Featherstone, named on the bench.

He has played 21 games for the side to date, scoring seven tries.

Garbutt made his debut in 2013 in the NRL for Melbourne Storm, where he played two seasons. He linked up with Brisbane Broncos for 2015, before making the switch to Super League with Leeds Rhinos.

The forward was a part of the Leeds Rhinos side that won the domestic treble in 2015. The side lifted the League Leaders’ Shield, Challenge Cup and winning the Grand Final over Wigan.

He was also a part of their 2017 Super League Grand Final winning squad, beating Castleford Tigers 24-6 at Old Trafford. His last season at Headingley Stadium came in 2018, as he joined Hull KR for the 2019 season.

Garbutt was announced as a Toulouse player in July 2020 for the following season.
