Now that Michael Porter Jr. has made his commitment to play basketball at Missouri, the nation's No. 1 basketball player wants to wear No. 1 for the Tigers.
There's just one problem: Porter's desired number is already worn by sophomore point guardTerrence Phillips, who has started every game for the Tigers the last two seasons.
Porter offered a solution, though. He will play Phillips one-on-one for the right to wear No. 1.
Porter Jr. said he and Terrence Phillips have "a little discussion to do" about Mizzou jersey No. 1. Wants to play him one-on-one for it.

It doesn't seem like a fair bet considering Porter, the national high school player of the year, is a 6-10 swingman while Phillips is a 5-11 guard.
If new Missouri coach Cuonzo Martin decides to sanction such a contest, the Tigers might as well make it a showcase event. The two could also just find some other arrangement.
