Former Houston Astros executive Brandon Taubman was reportedly reinstated by MLB last year, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post.

Taubman, who was fired by the team in 2019 for making "inappropriate comments" directed at women reporters, reportedly applied for reinstatement following the 2020 World Series, the first time he was eligible.

MLB allegedly reinstated Taubman after finding he played no role in the team's sign-stealing scandal. The league also said Taubman made amends with the reporter he targeted, has worked for a domestic abuse center and undergone therapy.

Taubman reportedly has no plans to seek employment in MLB.

Taubman came under fire after yelling at three women reporters following the Astros' 2019 win over the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series.

Taubman reportedly confronted the women and yelled, "Thank God we got Osuna! I’m so f***ing glad we got Osuna," multiple times. The team acquired closer Roberto Osuna at the trade deadline in 2018. The move came as Osuna was serving a suspension after violating MLB’s domestic-violence policy.

One of the reporters Taubman yelled at was wearing a purple domestic-violence awareness wristband and had tweeted out a domestic abuse hotline number every time Osuna took the field as a member of the Astros. Taubman reportedly told MLB officials his yelling was directed at that reporter.

When the story was initially reported by Sports Illustrated, the Astros claimed it was a lie. After multiple reporters confirmed Taubman's actions, the team apologized to the reporter who originally wrote the story.

Taubman was initially placed on leave and later fired by the team. MLB placed Taubman on the ineligible list following the incident and later suspended Taubman for the 2020 MLB season.
