MMA Fighter Ivan Cole Dies at Age 25 After Playing Russian Roulette

Mixed martial artist Ivan Cole was found dead on Saturday in a Dallas apartment. The 25-year-old reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. According to a report on CBS DFW's Facebook page, Cole allegedly lost his life playing Russian Roulette.

Dallas Police Department confirmed that Ivan Robert-Earnest Cole was found dead via their website. Officers responded to shooting at the 13700 block of Montfort Drive at approximately 7:21 a.m. local time and discovered the fighter's body.

“The death of Mr. Cole will be classified as an unexplained death pending the results of the autopsy,” read a statement by the Dallas Police Department.

Cole made his professional MMA debut in 2012 and compiled a record of 2-3. He fought once for Legacy FC and once for Bellator MMA. He last competed on March 27, 2015, losing by submission to George Pacurariu.
