Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has returned to pre-season at the AXA Training Centre after being granted an extended break over the summer.

Arne Slot and the first group of players started training just over a week ago ahead of the 2024/25 season. Curtis Jones, Kostas Tsimikas and Caoimhin Kelleher were joined by Stefan Bajcetic and Jarell Quansah on Merseyside.

Now, Salah and Wataru Endo have returned to Liverpool as preparations for the new season continue. The pair are expected to have undergone fitness tests on their first day back before rejoining their teammates.

On social media, the Liverpool official account on X, formerly Twitter, posted a video of Salah and Endo being welcomed back by their teammates and coaching staff. Since then, a series of images have appeared of Slot in discussion with the pair in the canteen.

Salah and the new Liverpool boss shared a hug before having a laugh and discussion alongside another member of staff, who had his back to the camera.

Now that the duo have returned from their holidays, Slot will hope to assess their fitness levels before their pre-season schedule kicks off against La Liga side Real Betis on Saturday July 27 in the USA.

The Reds will then face Arsenal and Manchester United in the space of four days before returning to England to take on Sevilla the week before the start of the Premier League season. Slot's first official game in charge is at newly-promoted Ipswich Town.
