Moises Caicedo insists his focus remains only on Brighton.

The midfielder has been the subject of a £55m offer from Chelsea, while Arsenal and Liverpool have also recently been linked with moves.

Graham Potter, who worked with the Ecuador international on the south coast, remains keen to bring in a midfielder between now and the end of this month’s transfer window.

Both the 22-year-old and Enzo Fernandez are thought to be primary targets, although the Blues are increasingly open to the idea of making a loan signing.

Arsenal, meanwhile, missed out on Douglas Luiz during the summer window and are yet to strengthen in midfield amid links with both Caicedo and Juventus star Weston McKennie.

Still, the Ecuadorian is under contract at the Amex Stadium until the summer of 2025 and Brighton have proven they can extract maximum value from potential suitors interested in their players, having rejected Chelsea’s offer out of hand.

Speaking to Brighton’s official website, Caicedo said: “I am here, I’m playing every day. Things from outside don’t trouble me, nor does it take that focus away because I’m focussed only on here.

“I handle [the speculation] well. You hear rumours here and there, but I only try to be focused on the club where I am now, the club which opened the doors for me to be playing every week.”
