Marseille are reportedly interested in Premier League French duo Olivier Giroud and Yohan Cabaye - according to Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol.
Giroud is contracted with the Gunners till the summer of 2020, but according to Solhekol the target man will be the subject of a move from Marseille, who are aware he is behind Alexis Sanchez in the Emirates pecking order and are 'confident' of securing his signature.
The 30-year-old striker has spent a lot of time this season on the substitutes' bench watching Sanchez fire in the goals and could seek a return to Ligue 1.
Solhekol also claims that the French club will seek to bring Palace playmaker Cabaye back to his homeland in the summer.
It is unlikely that money will be much of an issue for Marseille, given that they are now being bankrolled by rich American businessman Frank McCourt, and according to Solhekol the club are willing to spend up to £20m to bring Giroud to the Stade Veledrome.
That willingness to spend was highlighted recently by the re-signing of 30-year-old Dimitri Payet to the club following the Frenchman's sour turn at West Ham, to the tune of a £25m fee.
Marseille are currently in the midst of a Champions League qualification battle over in Ligue 1, and have four games to try and oust Lyon and Bordeaux for the final spot - should they manage to succeed, it would likely make attracting better players for next season a much easier task given their new spending power.
