At the wheel of a SUNRED Engineering SEAT León TDi, Monje has won four out of the six ETCC races held so far. The 19-year old from Barcelona claimed double victories in Monza and at the Salzburgring. He also added to his tally nine extra points by winning three pole positions out of three qualifying sessions.

Despite scoring only one point in the two races at the Slovakia Ring, Monje has a comfortable leadership in the Super 2000 classification. The only other drivers who are still in contention – Peter Rikli and Petr Fulín – have gaps of 12 and 13 points respectively when only 23 are still at stake in the last event of the season that takes place this weekend at Imola.

Afterwards, Monje will return to the WTCC in a León car powered by SEAT Sport’s 1.6-litre turbo engine.
