More heavy rain on the way as weather warning issued

A weather warning for heavy rain has been issued for the Isle of Wight.

The yellow 'be aware' alert comes into force at 4pm today (Wednesday).

The Met Office is warning of heavy rain, which may bring some travel disruption.

What to expect (according to the Met Office)

  • Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer

  • Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer

  • Some interruption to power supplies and other services is possible

  • There is a small chance of flooding to a few homes and businesses

It is in place until 3am tomorrow (Thursday).
