Morgan Whittaker addresses Rangers transfer link as Plymouth attacker talks 'higher level'
Morgan Whittaker has addressed Rangers' attempts to sign him from Plymouth as he opened up on his desire to play at a "higher level".
The winger was in discussions with the Ibrox club earlier this summer and was open to the move which ultimately couldn't be agreed upon. It was the second time Gers had tried to sign the player having attempted to bring him in from Swansea under Michael Beale.
For Whittaker he always understood the window and the difficulties of making deals happen. And now that he has remained at Argyle, he's happy to be playing every week under Wayne Rooney.

"I have been in this situation before so I know how to handle it and I found ways it worked for me, and that's just focusing on what I can do," the playmaker said.
"I think the difference to when I was at Swansea is I knew I was going to play here. In my eyes it was a win-win because I love it here and I'm playing all the time, and if I got the chance to move it would be to the higher level I want to be getting to. I didn't see it as a bad position to be in."
