Terol won ahead of Esteve Rabat, who narrowly beat Mika Kallio and Dominique Aegerter to third and fourth respectively.

Pol Espargaro crashed out, meaning he loses the championship lead to Scott Redding, who fell to fifth from pole position but heads to Jerez atop the standings.
