A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash with a car in South Norwood.

The incident happened in Whitehorse Lane just after 12.40pm today (May 31).

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a motorcyclist injured.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries where his condition is currently unknown.

Road closures have been put in place following the incident.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: "A man has been injured in a collision between a car and a motorbike.

“Officers were called at 12:41hrs on Wednesday, 31 May to Whitehorse Lane, SE25.

"A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries in the collision and he was taken to hospital by LAS - his condition awaits.

“Local road closures are in place while emergency services deal."
