Mousa Dembele says Tottenham's players are determined to win a trophy for Mauricio Pochettino ahead of today's FA Cup clash against Fulham.

Spurs have aspirations to fight for silverware on three fronts during the second half of the season but face their capital rivals on the back of consecutive defeats to Liverpool and Gent.

The north Londoners' most likely chance of silverware now appears to be in the FA Cup and they will be installed as clear favourites at Craven Cottage this afternoon.

But Dembele is adamant Spurs cannot afford to take his former club lightly as they attempt to reach the quarter-finals and put recent disappointment behind them.

"Yes, of course, even though it's a different competition," Dembele told the Daily Mail when asked if Fulham should be taken as seriously as Chelsea or Manchester City.

"Fulham have high hopes and anything can happen - so we need to be focused for this.

"We know we can do special things. We just want to win something and we're going to take the cups seriously.

"It's for the manager, and the players as well. A lot of players here have won things. But as a group we want to win something together," he added.

Pochettino has suggested he will make several changes to his starting line up against Slavisa Jokanovic's side, who occupy eighth place in the Championship table.

Late decisions will be made on the fitness of Harry Kane and Jan Vertonghen while it remains unclear whether Vincent Janssen will be deemed worthy of a place in the matchday squad, having been overlooked in Ghent.
