Murder probe continues as police remain at riverside bungalow
POLICE remain outside a riverside bungalow in Bournemouth as a murder investigation continues.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the death of a woman, aged in her 80s, in Roscrea Drive, in the Southbourne area.
Officers attended after receiving a report raising the concern for her welfare and found her dead at the scene on Saturday, June 3.
A man who is known to her has been arrested on suspicion of murder and was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident.

Providing an update, a Dorset Police spokeswoman said: “The arrested man remains in hospital and our enquiries are ongoing.”
Neighbours were left shocked to learn what had happened on Saturday evening, with some saying a “lovely couple” live there.

One man, who was visiting his parents for the weekend, said: “The woman had lived there for quite a while with her husband and just yesterday morning my mum saw her as she dropped off a paper for them.”
Another woman, who asked not to be named, said it is a “terrible shock”.

She said: “On Saturday, I saw around three police cars outside and two ambulances as well, and then on Sunday morning two forensics vans.
“They’re the nicest couple, you never hear anything from them. They’re the perfect neighbours who would always look out for you.”
Detective Inspector Mark Jenkins, of Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “I am keen to hear from anyone locally who may have information that may assist our enquiries.

“There will be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days and officers can be approached by any member of the public with information or concerns.”
