REPORTS elsewhere have linked Saints to another Chelsea academy product and it gets more surprising each time.
Tino Livramento and Dynel Simeu joined from Blues on permanent deals during the summer, while frontman Armando Broja also arrived from Cobham on loan.
The headlines have been dominated with the future of the Albanian international striker up in the air, with Saints keen to extend his St Mary’s stay.
However, it was another Tino that caused today’s circus. Tino Anjorin, a 20-year-old attacking midfielder, was the next Blues product to be linked with a potential Saints move.
Here’s how supporters reacted when they saw the headlines…
Our Daily Echo readers said:
yesitsmee: Attacking midfielder? Music to my ears... Geordies offering £40m for Broja?.... This is getting silly! Misread it... 40m euros.... There's still hope?
bbsaint: This guy is just what we need. Ralf Rangnick was a big admirer back in Moscow and he adopted well there so he has strength of character. He's big and strong and will get game time in the EPL.
Saintsayer II: Chelsea. our feeder club LOL. If he played for Ragnik then he is into the Ralph way already Go get him.
On social media, supporters added:
As much as I love Tino and Broja, can we stop signing Chelsea's academy please?

I like the idea of bringing back young players who've been poached from #SaintsFC by Chelsea. Musiala next please. https://t.co/C6y9ZzyBzt

Chelsea fast becoming our feeder club 🤣 And yes, I am joking... but I do really see the #SaintsFC approach as great for the club and also for the players in terms of developing themselves!

Clear that #CFC enjoy doing business with #SaintsFC. Southampton’s willingness to agree to buy back clauses gives an edge. Interesting model which is certainly working out for Saints this season.
