Liverpool boss Arne Slot wants to see his side make improvements on the pitch this weekend when they travel to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves are yet to win a a game in the Premier League this season, with Gary O'Neil's side currently sitting rock bottom of the table. Conversely, Slot's Reds sit second, a point behind defending champions Manchester City.

Last time out in the Premier League, Liverpool enjoyed a 3-0 win over Bournemouth at Anfield. A brace from Luis Diaz coupled with a stunning strike from Darwin Nunez rounded off a perfect week for Slot and co, who just days prior came from 1-0 down to beat AC Milan 3-1 in the Champions League at San Siro.

Earlier this week, Liverpool again produced a sensational performance at Anfield, dispatching a haphazard West Ham United side 5-1 in the Carabao Cup. But despite the recent strong performances that have seen the Reds score a whopping 11 goals in their last three games, Slot has challenged his side to do better when it comes to limiting opposition chances, even though they have only conceded three times in all competitions this season.

Speaking in his press conference before the Wolves clash, Slot said: "In the last two games, we have quality in goal. We created a lot of chances in the last two games but in the ideal world we don't concede chances but every team has so many quality players in their team now they are always able to create chances, so you have to give credit to the teams we face.

"We have to do better in that aspect if we want to keep clean sheets. One of the reasons the other team don't score, we have a goal goalkeeper but the amount of bodies we have back in the 18-yard box for us is pleasing."

He added: "It's most about working on it collectively but a few chances also came from set-pieces, West Ham goal came from a set-piece. As always, it's abut the collective idea, that is what we have to improve and then the quality we have of course helps us to get better as a team.

"I have said it, I learn day by day more about these players. I know their quality but we haven't faced many setbacks yet other than Forest, so you always want to learn about players and how they react to setbacks and a great game with a great score.

"So it is learning day by day and then you try to adjust to trigger the players to get the best out of themselves. It's about offence, defensive and we try to find the trigger to get them at their best."

Liverpool.com says: "Look, Arne Slot isn't going to say his Liverpool side is the finished article despite their strong start to the season. For one, they aren't and two, all teams can look to improve. You cannot rest on your laurels in the Premier League and the Dutchman is right to guard against complacency ahead of their clash against Wolves who will be desperate to pick up a result against the Reds on Saturday afternoon."
