Nabil Fekir’s father has poured cold water over claims that the Lyon captain has secretly met with Jurgen Klopp.

The France international has been linked with a big-money move to Liverpool this summer.

Fekir, 24, is rated at £60m – and suggestions have surfaced that a meeting between the star and Reds boss Klopp has already taken place.

“I can guarantee you that he never met him [Klopp]. His dream is to play in the Champions League with his boyhood club.”

“I do not know where this comes from,” he added. “If we had to negotiate for Nabil with a club, I would be the first to know. There has been no contact.”
