Though Keita’s current club RB Leipzig lost 2-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt on Monday evening, he gave an influential showing. Not only did he display his creative talents by playing a major role in Leipzig’s goal, he also showed his rough-and-ready side by kicking off a brawl between the two teams.

Just before half-time of the game at Frankfurt’s Waldstadion, Keita put in an impish late tackle on Die Adler midfielder Makoto Hasebe which provoked a furious reaction from his opposite number. Soon enough, Keita, Hasebe and the referee were in the midst of a two-team melee, also featuring a raging Kevin-Prince Boateng (the former Spurs and Portsmouth man joined Frankfurt at the beginning of the season).
Injury concern
While Keita provoking his opponents is an inevitable result of his high-energy, quick-turnover game in the middle of the park, he didn’t emerge from the encounter with Frankfurt unscathed.
