The 6’6” centre-half, 29, rejected a January move to Internacional but - with the underachieving German club looking at a summer overhaul - he is still interested in a return to South America.
"A return to Brazil remains interesting for me," he told Bild. "My wife is often alone here in Germany with the children. If a good offer is made to Werder, then I could go.
"I have ambitions. If all of the stars leave, then it will be hard to realise them.
"My agent is coming this week and we are going to have to talk to Werder."
Naldo was ruled out for the whole of last season, his absence coinciding with a difficult spell for the club. They have since recovered and lie sixth in the Bundesliga.
