Nate Diaz Wants to Fight Conor McGregor Tonight, Next Week, Whenever

Nate Diaz said he isn’t begging for a fight, but he sure is insistent in requesting Conor McGregor to meet him in the cage.

Diaz went on a post-fight rant in his in-Octagon interview with Joe Rogan and called out McGregor as only a Diaz brother knows how… full of F-bombs.

At the post-fight press conference, Diaz added that if McGregor wants a big money fight, the Irishman should look no further than Stockton’s own.

“If we’re going to see a fight that people want to see, it’s going to be that fight with Conor McGregor,” Diaz said. “We can do that (expletive) tonight. Whenever, next week.”

Diaz said that he’s like no other fighter calling for a bout with McGregor, adding that he’s only into big fights, and not the “funny fake” variety.

“Now this guy Conor McGregor’s coming back and he’s doing all this big stuff, and everybody’s calling him out, left and right,” he said. “I’m not like these guys begging for no fight. We’re talking about big fights. He wants a big fight — we can fight, and that’s a big fight. And that’s the kind of (expletive) I’m talking about; real fights, not funny fake fights.”

Diaz has spent time fighting at 170 pounds, in addition to his time at 155. But if his post-fight press conference comments are any indication, the 30-year-old doesn’t want to spend any part of his post-20s life cutting down to lightweight.

That is, of course, if McGregor doesn’t come calling.

“I don’t think I’m going to be losing weight for any of these guys down here,” Diaz proclaimed. “There aren’t too [many] big names at 155, I fought them all. If there’s something worth it in the future, we’re going to have to see. But yeah, definitely big fights is what I’m after.”
