Nathaniel looks to make history

The winner of the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes last year, Nathaniel is looking to become only the third horse in history to land the race two years running.

Should the four-year-old prevail in Saturday’s big race at Ascot, he will join Dahlia (1973 and 1974) and Swain (1997 and 1998) as the only horses to have won the event back to back.

Nathaniel tuned up with a fine win in the Eclipse Stakes in June, his first run of the year.
