NBA betting: Pick against the spread for Game 2 between the Hawks and Bucks
Atlanta Hawks at Milwaukee Bucks (-8), Total: 226.5
No, you’re not seeing a repeat of Game 1 in the Game 2 betting line for the Eastern Conference Finals.
Milwaukee was favored by eight points ahead of Game 1 and the over/under was listed at 225.5. The Hawks ended up winning the game 116-113 to easily cover as the underdog and push the game over in the final minute.
You’d think that the lines would change a bit ahead of Game 2 given Atlanta’s win. They did not.
The spread on the game has crept up a half point toward the Bucks and sits at eight points in Milwaukee’s favor Friday morning. The total is also eerily similar too. The 226.5 over/under for Game 2 is just a point higher than it was for Game 1.
After beating Milwaukee in Game 1, Atlanta is 4-1 in its last five games. The only loss came in Game 6 to the Philadelphia 76ers. That Game 1 win broke a 13-game home winning streak for the Bucks.
Yahoo Sports’ Jared Quay likes the under ahead of Friday night’s game.
“I think 226.5 is too much, even if Atlanta does hit a bunch of threes,” Quay said. “I don’t like this game going that high.”
Prop bet we like: Khris Middleton over 23.5 points
