NBA hands out $110,000 in fines to four players ejected in Jazz-Pacers altercation

Utah Jazz big man Rudy Gobert is walking away from Thursday's near brawl with the Indiana Pacers with the biggest fine. The NBA fined Gobert $35,000 for his actions and fined the other three players ejected from the contest.

In total, the NBA handed out $110,000 in fines. In addition to Gobert, Joe Ingles received a $30,000 fine, Pacers center Myles Turner was fined $25,000 and Donovan Mitchell was hit with a $20,000 bill for their actions during the on-court altercation.

Gobert's fine was the highest of the group after the NBA determined he "initiated" the confrontation. Gobert pulled Turner to the floor after Turner blocked Gobert's shot in the fourth quarter Thursday. The incident occurred with four minutes left in the game. No punches were thrown, but both teams gathered on the court as things started getting out of hand. Turner received a fine for "escalating" the situation by shoving Gobert.

Ingles was fined for "making inappropriate contact" with an official during the altercation. Mitchell was fined for "verbally taunting an opponent."

All four players were ejected from the contest, which Indiana went on to win 111-100.
