Who are NBC's Olympic track and field broadcasters? What to know about who's on the call

Track and field will be a premier event of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, where athletes from across the globe will vie for the titles of the fastest man and woman on earth.

To broadcast the action to American viewers, one NBC team will call the live preliminary heats and a different team will handle the live finals in the afternoon as well as the primetime show. Olympians Sanya Richards-Ross, Kara Goucher and Ato Boldon headline the lineup.

The trio all hail from different track disciplines and will bring plenty of prior experience (and Olympic medals) to inform their commentary.

Richards-Ross won Olympic gold in the 400 meters (and still holds the American record) at the 2012 London Games and is working her third Games. Goucher, a former U.S. distance runner, made her NBC debut in Tokyo and has featured on NBC track and field broadcasts ever since.

Boldon is working his seventh straight Olympics for NBC and was a four-time Olympic sprint medalist representing Trinidad and Tobago. Paris will be Johnson's third consecutive Summer Olympics as a track and field reporter.
