Thousands of Isle of Wight homes and businesses are without power this morning (Tuesday, September 26) following a major outage in south-east Wight.
The outage has affected an estimated 1,885 people, according to Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN).
A total of 169 postcodes in the PO36, PO37 and PO38 areas (Godshill, Shanklin, Upper Ventnor and Wroxall) are without power.
For most areas, the outage was first reported shortly after 8.30am.
SSEN is predicting different times, depending on each area, for power to be restored.
The majority of those affected should have power back by around midday.
Meanwhile, electricity in the Shanklin PO37 area is not expected to return until 4.30pm.
UPDATE: Power was restored to most areas by midday, with a small area north of Wroxall receiving electricity at 3pm.
