Feyenoord stopper Neraysho Kasanwirjo has agreed a season-long loan deal with Rangers and is on his way to Glasgow.

The young Dutch defender, 22, has yet to establish himself as De Kuip since arriving from FC Groningen in January 2023, although he has made two Eredivisie appearances so far this season. Versatile centre-back Kasanwirjo spent last term on loan with Austrian club Rapid Wien, where he predominantly played right-back, racking up 28 appearances overall.

Now, respected Dutch outlet 1908NL reports that Kasanwirjo will become a Rangers player today as he prepares to touch down in Scotland this morning. Kasanwirjo is under contract with Feyenoord until June 2027 but it's believed Gers have an option to buy the player, who came through the ranks at Ajax.

Kasanwirjo fills the void left behind by Ben Davies, who joined Birmingham City on loan at the start of the week. Philippe Clement is expected to press ahead with other signings in what promises to be a frantic transfer deadline day at Ibrox, with Albanian star Nedim Bajrami thought to be on the verge of joining on loan.

Meanwhile Scott Wright and Todd Cantwell are expected to complete their respective moves to Birmingham and Blackburn Rovers.
