Ballydoyle's ace three-year-old filly Tenebrism is ready for her crack at the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket on Sunday, May 1. The daughter of Carvaggio is part if a quality 14 horse female line up and puts her unbeaten record on the line in search of the second Classic in as many days at the East Anglia track. It will be a debut over a mile for Tenebrism and also a seasonal debut for Aidan O'Brien's charge. The word tenebrism is an artistic description of violent contrasts of light and dark painting and O'Brien will be hoping his filly leaves the rest in the shadows

Ryan Moore will take the ride and she does so from stall five.

O'Brien's other entry is Galileo filly Tuesday, due to be ridden by Frankie Dettori with the Italian champing at the bit to try and win another 1000 Guineas for the Irish trainer, after striking last year on Mother Earth.

"She was only beaten a short head by Discoveries on debut last June and Jessie's filly went on to win the Moyglare so we know that is strong form," the Italian said in his blog for Sporting Index. "Tuesday won her maiden at Naas which was a good performance and she has a wonderful pedigree. As a daughter of Galileo, we know she will stay well and she's a lovely ride to pick up. "Aidan has won five of the last six 1000 Guineas which is just incredible. To win it again for him after Mother Earth would be amazing. "Ryan is on Tenebrism who is obviously a massive danger after winning the Cheveley Park on her final start last season. That was a really impressive performance. It looks like being a great race."

Meanwhile, French raiders come in the form of the first two home in the Prix Impudence - Malavath and Zellie - who are trained by the mighty Francis-Henri Graffard and Andre Fabre. Top gallic jockey Christophe Soumillon remains aboard Malavath but Zellie has a British rider in the form of Tom Marquand.

Charlie Appleby is in red hot form and his Wild Beauty, a daughter of Frankel has to be taken seriously, with plenty of track experience under her saddle.
