Nike have unveiled new a pair of new signature boots that have been tailor-made for Barcelona stiker Neymar. 

The boots tell the story of Neymar’s journey to date, mapping out his career for Brazil and for Barcelona, as well as including a number of details about his family.

Two of Neymar’s proudest moments with the Brazil are immortalised within the constellation design on the boot.

The date of his debut goal against the United States is writen on the side of the boot, as us last summer’s gold medal triumph in the Olympics — acknowledged via reference to Maracana Stadium.

Several of Neymar’s most memorable club goals are also commemorated on the boot, including his first goal as a Barcelona player on September 24, 2010.

The boot also marks his first goal against Real Madrid on October 26, 2013 and Neymar Jr.’s goal in the 2015 Champions League Final. 

“I grew up wearing Mercurial as a kid, so it’s like a dream to have my story on this boot," says Neymar Jr.  "It means a lot that it’s not just about me, but my family and the moments I shared with great teammates on the pitch."

“Growing up in Brasil, football is everything,” says Neymar Jr. “I am very proud of my country and I hope they are proud of me too.”

Neymar's future at Barcelona remains the subject of intense speculation amid reports that PSG are ready to trigger the striker's £196m release clause. 

However Gerard Pique has insisted he believes his Barcelona teammate will stay at the club.

The former Manchester United defender posted a picture of he and Neymar embracing, along with the caption "Stays".

"From the conversations that I had with him, it's just my intuition that he'll stay - other than that obviously I hope that he stays," said Pique.

"We were in a relaxed atmosphere with other team-mates when we took that photo, and that's how that went. But in no way was that anything official.

"Firstly it's really not my business, and the person who has to decide that is Neymar."

Barcelona defender Javeir Mascherano also expressed his desire that Neymar stays at the Nou Camp.

"He's a hugely important player for us, more than just his quality as a soccer player, he has huge value, his personal qualities within the group," Mascherano said.
